On the 'Day of Your Party,' we will arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your sheduled start time. Please provide us with a medium sized table and good lighting. As your guests arrive we will ask them to join us one at a time to appraise their precious metals.
First, we will test everything with professional gold-testing equipment. This includes a calibrated ultrasound meter, an assay test, and high powered magnets. These tests are performed in front of your guests and the process is explained, if requested. The tests are used to verify the authenticity of the jewelry, and to ensure proper karat placement of the precious metals.
After we separate the precious metals by karat, we will then weigh the items to assess their sale value. Our "buy" offer will be based on the current NY spot price, per gram, for that day. If the guest accepts our offer, we will request completion of some simple paperwork. We will also need a valid government issued photo ID, and in some cases a thumb print (if required by your state). Once we have satisfied the government requirements, we will immediately pay cash for the items in the amount agreed upon. Your guest will receive a receipt of sale for their records.
As the host, you will receive a 10% commission on all purchases made at your party. (No commission is paid on 24K gold coins or solid ingots trading at spot) Your 10% commission is made possible, because our business seamlessly incorporates both GoldPartying.com and The Republic Mint refinery. You may rest assured (and guilt free) that the commission you receive in no way devalues the price we pay your guests (the market spot price). We have found that by paying guests 20-25% more than Jewelry Stores, 40% more than Pawn Shops, and 60% more than mail-in companies, we create a larger opportunity for everyone.
Upon completion of your party we will total all receipts and pay you the host commission in cash, on the spot. It is that simple! In some cases where the party attracts an unexpected number of guests, we may reserve the right to pay the host with a check.
We enjoy our work and are always seeking to share the benefits of our business. As such, we fully encourage you to promote your fabulous experience to others. We have found that offering a little financial incentive often provides exactly the necessary incentive to do so. You will also receive a $50.00 food and drink allowance (save your receipt) to help with marketing & promoting your party. While we require that your party have $1000.00 minimum in sales to claim the food and drink allowance, more tha 98% of all parties we attend satisfy this condition.
Remember, if anyone hosts a party on your referral, or from your gold party, we will pay you a full additional 3% commission from the total gold purchased at their gold party.

About Your Gold Partying Experience
Any company buying precious metals from the public is required by the state (Pursuant to State Law) to check photo ID in order to purchase them from an individual. The reason for this law is if anything was reported stolen prior to the sale; it will give the local authorities ample time to sift through it. You are also required by law to write a brief description of what you are selling on the receipt; and record what is on your license upon selling. Some states also require a thumb print in order to sell precious metals legally. There are three copies; one to you, one to us, and one to local authorities, if they should ask.
The reason behind notifying the authorities the day before your party is a courtesy to them, so if we have to give them their copies of each sale it is not a surprise. We also carry so much cash and gold with us at any given time; it is really in everyone's best interest at the party to do this; although it is not required by law.
The people bringing the gold to the party will be paid in cash according to the NY spot price, which fluctuates daily. The Host on the other hand will also be paid according to the NY spot price, but receives 10% of each sale (including your order). This comes from the refining process, and in no way devalues the payments to your guest’s. Note: This is only possible because of the volume of gold you will bring together at one time.
Essentially, it is based on what karat and weight you have in precious metals. We pay out only on the gram “and not by the penny weight.” Many Jewelry Stores, and Pawn Shops give a false perception, by advertising they pay a higher dollar amount per gram; this is because they are paying out on the “Dense Total Weight”, or the pennyweight mode. The equipment we use: TRI Electronic meters; traditional assay kit, a 10X loupe, and extremely high powered magnets, and A&D EW-1500i Legal for Trade scale. You and your guests may do some preliminary work if you’d like!! Take a high powered magnet and hover it over your jewelry. If any jewelry is attracted to it, it is probably not real. NOTE: SOME CLASPS ARE METAL. IF YOU’RE UNSURE ABOUT AUTHENTICITY WE WILL TEST IT FOR YOU.
